Dr. Andrea Shepherd, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CNE​

​

Dr. Andrea Shepherd is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and doctorally-prepared clinician dedicated to delivering compassionate, relationship-centered virtual primary care. As the founder and provider of Elite Faith Health, she provides personalized, evidence-based care through a convenient membership model designed to help patients stay healthy, prevent disease, and confidently manage chronic conditions.

Dr. Shepherd believes healthcare works best when patients have a trusted provider who truly knows them. Through telehealth, she offers accessible, convenient care that prioritizes meaningful relationships, education, and prevention- without the barriers often created by traditional healthcare systems.

​

She received her education from the University of Virginia and the University of Maryland, and has built a diverse clinical career caring for patients across a wide range of settings and life stages.

​

Her nursing and advanced practice experience includes:​

• Critical care in intensive care units (ICUs) caring for some of the most medically complex patients

• Subacute and rehabilitative care in rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities

• Urgent care and acute illness management across the lifespan

• Primary care across the lifespan

• Telehealth and virtual medicine

• Tobacco cessation treatment and counseling

In addition, Dr. Shepherd helped found a lung cancer screening and pulmonary nodule clinic for the largest hospital system in Washington, D.C.- a program that continues to serve patients today.

​

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Shepherd is a researcher, published author, and professor of nursing, contributing to the advancement of healthcare through education and scholarship.

​

While her experience spans many areas of nursing and medicine, patients often say what sets her apart most is her personality, ability to listen, and approach to care. Known for her warm, upbeat demeanor, Dr. Shepherd treats every patient with the same compassion, respect, and dedication she would give her own family, while delivering expert, evidence-based medical care.
